Jess is an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children with disabilities and/or delays to achieve their occupational goals - to be independent, to play and to learn. Jess works alongside parents and educators using family centered practice and evidence based strategies. She has worked in multiple roles across Early Intervention including Behaviour Consultant, Key Worker and Clinical Lead management roles.
In 2022, Jess transitioned to private practice where she currently provides private consultations to children within the Inner West, Ryde LGA and Parramatta LGA areas. She has specialised training and experience in feeding, toileting, supporting school readiness, DIR Floortime, and implementing positive behaviour support strategies. She is eager to bridge the gap in services for children who are often stuck waiting for therapy or receiving inconsistent supports.
Jess Than Perfect is a social media platform that provides Occupational Therapy activity ideas, resources and clinical strategies to parents, teachers, therapists and OT students around the world. Jess has taken part in collaborating with Australian and international companies to promote resources that support child development. Jess engages in annual advocacy projects to promote Occupational Therapy awareness.
